Sheila Kelly is a
passionate and dynamic crusader for ending disengagement at

Harvard, for example, reporting up to 80% employee disengagement
as a result of rude and uncivil behavior. Sheila understands ...

dreading walking into "that place. Because of her own
recovery from disengagement, Sheila works with individuals,
teams and organizations that want a comprehensive and modern
approach to leading and managing organizations in the 21st
century, thus breaking through workplace disengagement.
Since becoming a coach
over a decade ago, Sheila has worked with hundreds of
individuals … largely middle and senior managers … helping them
navigate the jungle of trust and mistrust, performance issues,
difficult conversations, and aligning personal values with that
of the organization. She confidently attests
to the validity of two major approaches to enhancing leadership
and disassembling disengagement:
I. The Collaborative
Operating System (COS) is a highly-effective and
scalable alternative to the current paradigm known as hierarchy.
Unlike hierarchy, a useful structure (which our world attempts
to use implicitly as a system), the COS is a true system. It can
be used as a management system, or to do any of the things for
which we currently use hierarchy - which of course is nearly
everything. Because it's such a
powerful system, a little goes a long way; small, subtle changes
have a powerful impact. Implementation begins without fanfare
and often with only one or two individuals anywhere in the
organization. Because it is a way of working that really works,
it spreads on its own merit.
Coaching. The Bloom Institute reports that coaching
demonstrates a 251% return-on-investment and has been shown to
lift employee engagement nearly 20%.

Founder of Aegis
Coaching Services, Sheila was a pioneer in introducing coaching
to Halifax and beyond. She was founder of a national website and
award to promote the coaching profession in Canada. As well, she
has contributed as a member and/or on the local boards of
several organizations. Sheila is also a trailblazer who has been
described as a “futurist of our times” by a colleague and dubbed
the Soul Whisperer by a client.
Older than she may like
to admit, Sheila’s age gives her bragging rights to a PhD in
life. Married to the same man, an engineer, for over 30 years,
they both enjoy the amazing walking trails
that are practically outside their front door, travel, hanging
out with friends, and enjoying good food especially when paired
with a nice wine picked up along the way.
